BMW M135i xDrive updated for Germany

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only last year that BMW Malaysia introduced the M135i xDrive and now we hear that the car has received improvements currently limited to the German market. These updates are said to offer a more engaging driving experience along with improved performance.

List of BMW M135i xDrive improvements -

• Optimized wheel alignment for better cornering dynamics
• Fine-tuned dampers and springs
• Optimized front wheels camber for better absorption of lateral forces
• Redesigned trailing and control arms mounts on the rear axle

• New hydromount to attach the front wishbones
• Different distinct engine notes and exhaust burbles offer a more engaging experience to the driver
• Retuned audio system
• New colour options created by BMW Individual (non-metallic Sao Paulo Yellow, Frozen Pure Grey, and Frozen Orange)

The updated BMW M135i xDrive is powered by the same, tried and tested, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged powerplant making a maximum power of 306 hp along with a peak torque of 450 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The setup helps the BMW machine to complete the century sprint in just 4.3 seconds and attain a top speed of 250 kmph.

Here in Malaysia, the BMW M135i xDrive is offered at RM 355,646.25 (on-the-road without insurance), accompanied by a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and free scheduled service. It comes with better cornering dynamics thanks to optimised alignment and fine-tuned dampers & springs.
