BMW 320i Sport gets a technological update in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: To cater to the ever-evolving digital needs of urban customers, BMW Malaysia has come up with a technological update for its locally assembled BMW 320i Sport. That’s an advanced BMW Live Cockpit Professional system providing a fast overview of important information to customers with enhanced convenience and accessibility. Also, the car owners will now be able to configure it more individually than ever before with the luxury of personalisation.
Let’s know about the BMW Live Cockpit Professional system in detail.
The new state-of-the-art system powered by the latest BMW Operating System 7 is designed with a driver-focused orientation. It consists of an updated central information display and an updated instrument cluster. The former now has a new 10.25-inch display instead of an 8.8-inch while the latter now features a larger 12.3-inch display that’s a significant departure from the previous 5.1-inch.
The fully configurable display has a minimalistic appearance with more space in the middle to show navigation and other important info. It also shows the selected Driver Experience modes (Sport, Comfort, and Eco Pro) with a consistent theme across the instrument cluster and centre display.
The configurable functions and widgets of the new BMW Live Cockpit Professional include the sports scoreboards, driving data, fuel consumption and efficiency, and G-Force meter.
Further, the 2021 BMW 320i Sport continues to offer segment-leading tech like the Reversing Assistant for hands-free along with a standard rearview camera. The automaker also mated the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with a voice-activated feature that gets activated via the “Hey BMW” expression. It provides the driver with complete and convenient control over the vehicle settings.
Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia said, “The hallmark of Sheer Driving Pleasure for the BMW brand, the BMW 3 Series is a remarkable sports sedan that we are proud to locally assemble here with all-new technological updates for our customers in Malaysia. The BMW 320i Sport has delivered close to 2,000 units since its January 2020 release, and this success comes as no surprise for the best-selling premium sports sedan in Malaysia. This new addition serves to prove our consistent investments in the local automotive industry, in hopes to continue driving its recovery in the year ahead.”
Well, the updates also increased the 2021 BMW 320i price by RM 4,000, it now retails at RM 230,764.
