All-new Volkswagen Arteon R-Line 4MOTION: A car with an impressive feature kit

It was only a few days back, 16.07.2021, to be precise, that Volkswagen Malaysia launched a new car, the facelifted Arteon. As previously announced by the automaker, the five-door coupe is offered in the Arteon R-Line 4MOTION model.

Priced at RM 248,693 on-the-road without insurance, the facelifted version costs RM 27,000 more than the previous model. The price includes a 5-year, unlimited-mileage warranty along with three years worth of free servicing. As before, the car will be assembled locally in Pekan, Pahang.

What powers the facelifted Arteon R-Line 4MOTION?

The facelifted Arteon is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine that is returned to pump out more output, i.e., 280 PS from 5,100 to 6,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 350 Nm between 1,700 and 5,600 rpm. To be exact that’s 90 PS and 30 Nm over the outgoing front-drive model.

The power is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed DSG wet dual-clutch transmission with power sent to all four wheels via a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. With all this output in hand, the new Arteon can complete the century sprint in 5.6 seconds, that's two seconds faster than the previous model.
