Compared to the predecessor, the price witnessed an increase of 12% approximately. Hyundai says that the enhanced equipment kit along with dearer raw materials and foreign exchange rates contributed to the price hike.
The automaker also commented on the love and attention the premium SUV received from Malaysians. Sime Darby Motors Managing Director of Retail and Distribution for Malaysia, Jeffrey Gan said, “We have been receiving enquiries and bookings for the Palisade after its debut last year so we are positive of the take-up for this facelifted version. As demand for SUVs continues to grow, there seems to be a growing demand for large SUVs as well.”

Helping the SUV look more premium is a wider cascading front grille mated with a rugged parametric shield element dubbed as “Parametric Jewel''. The exterior enhancements also include new LED headlights housing a new signature and vertically connected LED composite lights. LED daytime running lights, LED indicators, and positioning lights also contribute to the refreshed front lighting system. Adding a rugged touch to the front end is the new front bumper boasting a daring design and metallic-finished skid plates.
The side profile looks sturdier than before thanks to a longer front overhang and 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Towards the rear, the SUV features new vertical LED tail lights, a stout bumper, and skid plates.
In terms of aerodynamic performance, the new Palisade will not disappoint you as it gains a fast A-pillar angle, an optimised front cooling area, aero underside panels, and rear wheel aero deflectors.
Dimensionally, the facelifted model measures 4,995 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,750 mm in height and spans a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
The 2023 Hyundai Palisade colour palette has six options to choose from - Creamy White Pearl, Graphite Grey Metallic, Moonlight Blue Pearl, Shimmering Silver Metallic, Abyss Black Pearl, and Gaia Brown Pearl.

2023 Hyundai Palisade engine
Hyundai Malaysia offers the premium SUV in two engine options, carried forward from the predecessor. The first is a 3.8-litre naturally-aspirated V6 petrol engine churning out a maximum power of 295 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 355 Nm at 5,200 rpm. The power is sent to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox, taking the SUV from zero to 100 kmph in 7.8 seconds. The top speed is rated at 210 kmph.
Another engine on offer is a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel which is good for making 200 PS at 3,800 rpm and 440 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm and 2,750 rpm. The diesel mill is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. Performance-wise, it achieves the century sprint in 10.2 seconds and a top speed of 190 kmph.
