All-new 2023 BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence goes on sale in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW has launched the facelifted version of its luxurious six-seater SUV, the X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence, in Malaysia. The facelifted iteration features a host of a number of cosmetic and tech updates and a new mild-hybrid powertrain, ensuring it remains one of the most sought-after luxury SUVs on the market.

The 2023 BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence retails for RM 654,800 (on the road, without insurance). Included in the price are a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and a complimentary scheduled service programme package. 

Let get to know the key highlights of the new BMW X7 - 

• Powering the facelifted SUV is a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine which now comes paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The combined output of the system is rated at 375 hp and 540 Nm
• The power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox paired with an xDrive all-wheel drive system

• In terms of performance, the revamped SUV runs from zero to 100 kmph in 5.8 seconds and clocks a top speed of 250 kmph
• Design-wise, the premium German SUV boasts a new front fascia with a double-slat kidney grille, a new split headlights design, and chrome trims on lower air intakes
• Towards the rear lie reworked tail lights and a new glass-covered chrome bar

• Further adding to the SUV’s sporty profile are new 22-inch alloy wheels
• Inside, the buyers get the new BMW Curved Display, combining a 14.9-inch infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
• The dashboard is also kitted with new discreet central air vents and a new backlit ambient light strip. The latter operates in tandem with the new Welcome Light Carpet 
• Also part of the equipment kit is a large head-up display and a panoramic glass roof 

• Ensuring the safety of occupants and other road users is the SUV’s advanced driver-assistance pack, which comprises front collision warning with brake intervention, lane departure warning, lane change warning with active steering intervention, rear crossing traffic warning, rear collision prevention with exit warning, speed limit info and more

BMW offers the new X7 in five shades - Sparkling Copper Grey Metallic, Skyscraper Grey Metallic, Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic, Mineral White Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic.
