KUALA LUMPUR: The new Acura Integra is here and it revives a nameplate launched back in 1986. Announced first last August, followed by a prototype in November, Honda’s luxury division has finally revealed the sports sedan production version. With prices starting at around USD 30,000 (approx RM 125,760), Integra’s order books are open and deliveries are expected to start this spring.

Powering the 2023 Acura Integra is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo mill making a maximum power output of 200 hp at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 260 Nm from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm.
On the gearbox front, a CVT unit is standard across the range. Opt for the A-Spec performance package and a six-speed manual transmission is on your way. The latter comes with a limited-slip differential and has rav-matching.
New 2023 Acura Integra design
The new Acura features a frameless Diamond Pentagon grille at the front and it is flanked by the automaker’s Jewel Eye LED headlamps with ‘Chicane’ LED daytime running lights.
Move a bit down and you’ll see hexagonal-shaped intakes on the lower apron extending into the fog lamps and vertical air vents at the corner of the front bumper. As a staple of other Acura models, it retains the bonnet crease line.
The side profile showcases a distinctive character line that goes from the front wheel arches to the rear quarter windows. The brake calipers on the production version get a more subdued hue, unlike the funky one seen on the prototype. It rides on 17-inch alloys as standard with an option for 18- and 19-inches.
The rear gets a single-piece LED taillights with ‘Chicane’ graphis, Integra script embossed under the driver’s side lighting unit, rear diffuser, and dual exhaust finishers.
Opt for the A-Spec package and you’ll get gloss black parts for the window surrounds, and front & rear fascia. Also part of the kits is a rear small spoiler, 18-inch wheels with Shark Grey finish, and LED fog lights.
New 2023 Acura Integra cabin
The new Integra cabin is certainly reminiscent of the Civic Si, obviously with a few tweaks. For inserts, the air vents feature diamond pattern instead of honeycomb and the shift knob has a different shape and a gear pattern on the top.
