Dimensions
The new MG4 measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width, and 1,551 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared to the outgoing model, it is 108 mm longer, 6 mm wider, and 35 taller and has a 45 mm extended wheelbase.
Exterior
The EV benefits from a more subtle design language with a sloping bonnet edged by LED headlamps and a new trapeze-shaped air intake design. The upgraded EV also features sculpted front fenders and a redesigned front bumper, which is now surrounded by a honeycomb mesh instead of vertical slats.

Wrapped in a light purple exterior colour, the latest model stands on 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. It adopts traditional doorknobs, which is quite the opposite of the flush handles available in modern EVs.
The updated rear styling flaunts a minimalistic rear bumper and new arrow-shaped tail lights, which look inspired by the MG Cyberster. These lighting clusters are connected by an LED strip.
Interior
No interior images or details of the 2025 MG4 EV are available yet. However, we can expect some cosmetic and tech updates for a more distinctive look and experience.
Drivetrain
As reported by CarNewsChian, the new MG4 will come powered by a single electric motor setup generating a maximum power of 161 hp. In comparison, the outgoing EV has a 168-hp e-motor in the standard specification, making the new version a step down in power.

As for the battery, it will come fitted with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) unit, whose capacity hasn’t been disclosed yet.
