2023 Volvo XC40 B5 Ultimate introduced in Malaysia; for RM 268,888

KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Cars Malaysia has introduced the XC40 B5 Ultimate facelift for the model year 2023. Priced at RM 268,888, the car showcases upgrades including a new exterior hue and comforting & connectivity features.

On the introduction of the upgraded XC40 Mild Hybrid variant, automaker's managing director Charles Frump said, “As we advocate for a more sustainable way of living, we also understand that people may need to familiarize themselves with the concept of electrification. This is what led us to introducing an updated version of our XC40 Mild Hybrid variant, as a suitable stepping stone for drivers who are looking to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.”

New for the 2023 XC40 B5 Ultimate are following features -

• A new exterior colour called Fjord Blue
• Remote Air Purifier PM2.5 pre-cleaning system
• Harman Kardon Premium Sound Audio system
• New infotainment system powered by Android with built-in Google services
• A 360-degree Surround View Camera

The XC40 B5 Ultimate facelift is powered by an integrated electrified powertrain including a 4-cylinder turbo engine generating a maximum power output of 263 hp along with a peak torque of 390 Nm. The drive is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission with Geartronic.

The car combines an advanced kinetic energy recovery braking system with its internal combustion engine. This setup helps the car help minimise its emissions and fuel combustion, thus making it a sustainable urban ride.

For the model year 2023, the XC40 B5 Ultimate is offered in five colour options including - Thunder Grey, Fjord Blue, Crystal White, Black Stone, and Silver Dawn.
