2023 Toyota Yaris facelift arrives in Thailand with sharper looks
KUALA LUMPUR: The hatchback twin of the Toyota Vios, the Yaris, has received significant changes in the Thai market. However, unlike the new Vios (due to launch in Malaysia), the Yaris hatchback is yet to get a generation upgrade and the latest iteration is the fourth facelift of the ongoing generation.

The facelifted model boasts a more striking front end inspired by the hammerhead design. The projector LED headlamps appear sharper and are mated to the restyled front bumper and a wide lower apron featuring functional and faux intakes. Towards the rear, we can find most of the carried-forward stuff with the revised bumper as the only upgrade over the predecessor. It looks sportier and houses side diffusers and a carbon fibre pattern.
Toyota has also given an update to the Yaris colour palette, which includes a new Cement Gray Metallic shade. Among the carried forward hues are Spicy Scarlet, Platinum White Pearl, Red Mica Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Metal Stream Metallic, Urban Metal, and Platinum White Pearl.
The equipment kit of the revamped model remains almost the same as the outgoing version. Among its key inclusions are -

Powering the new Yaris is the same 1.2 litre NA four-cylinder that was used to power the pre-facelift model. The said mill churns out a maximum power of 92 PS and a peak torque of 109 Nm. Sending power to the front wheels is a Super CVT-i transmission. The 2023 Toyota Yaris fuel consumption is rated at 23.3 kmpl.
