2023 MINI Electric gets new features and colour update in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Alongside introducing the all-new 2023 BMW 3 Series, BMW Group Malaysia has also unveiled the 2023 MINI Electric. In the latest form, the electric hatchback boasts an upgraded equipment kit as well as a new exterior colour shade.

The MINI Electric gains a new Nanuq White exterior colour option and an upgraded equipment kit, including the heated seats and panoramic sunroof for 2023.The new kit brings on board heated seats that make sitting in the car more comfortable during the winter season. The seats heat up quickly and keep the passengers warm till they wait for the vehicle to heat up. Another welcoming feature is the panoramic sunroof that offers an apparent view of the beautiful surroundings and takes the travelling experience to the next level.
The colour palette of the 2023 MINI Cooper SE now includes three choices - newly-added Nanuq White, Midnight Black, and White Silver.
With these updates, the 2023 MINI Electric price has increased to RM 193,834 (on the road without insurance). Included in the price is a standard two-year warranty. If you opt for an extended warranty (four-year) and service package, you will need to shell out a total amount of RM 199,164.
Rest of the kit remains unchanged with standard features like an 8.8-inch infotainment unit, auto-dimming mirrors, a 5.0-inch digital driver display, a MINI Navigation System, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Qi wireless charger, Harman Kardon sound system with 12 speakers, Park Assist, a reverse camera, dual-zone air-conditioning system, keyless entry and start, six airbags, and Driving Assistant package. The latter includes lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition.
The 2023 Mini Electric comes equipped with the same electric motor mounted on the front axle which generates a maximum power of 184 hp and a peak torque of 270 Nm. Feeding the e-motor is a 28.9 kWh battery that lets the EV cruise up to 232 km on a single charge. The latter takes 3.5 hours for a full charge when using an 11-kW AC charger while a 10-80% state of charge can be derived in just 36 minutes with the help of a 50-kW DC fast charger.
