2023 Hyundai Staria open for booking: Key info & images revealed

It was only last month that we got to see the first glimpse of the upcoming Hyundai Staria. And now Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors, the official distributor of Hyundai cars in Malaysia has opened the ordering books for the new 10-seater and confirmed its Q4 2022 arrival.

The automaker has also updated its official website which now reveals a good deal of information about the upcoming, stylish Hyundai 10-seater.

As mentioned above, the ordering books are now open for the new Staria. Interested customers can reserve a unit for just RM 1,000.

With the ordering books open, Hyundai's upcoming MPV is expected to arrive in the local market sometime in Q4 of 2022. So, pretty soon now, get ready folks!

2023 Hyundai Staria: Price

The automaker has yet to reveal the official price tag for the new Staria, however, it has given us an estimated starting price point of RM 17X,XXX. Thus making it a lot cheaper than the ongoing Staria Premium variant that retails for RM 366,768.

2023 Hyundai Staria: Variants

The new Staria lineup will be an expansion over the current model lineup that includes only one variant, 7-seater Premium. As for the upcoming Staria, it will be offered in three trim options, all 10-seater, namely the Staria Lite, Staria Plus, and Staria Max.

So, with the launch of the new Staria, there will be a total of four variants for customers to choose from.

2023 Hyundai Staria: Engine

Like the currently available Staria Premium, the three new variants would also be powered by the tried and tested 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. The said mill generates a maximum power of 177 PS along with a peak torque of 431 Nm. The drive like now would be sent to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission system.

The upcoming Staria showcases a revised front grille with body-colour accents instead of black, as seen in the ongoing Premium version. Also, instead of LED lights, we expect the new 10-seater MPV to get halogen-type units.

The spy shots reveal the MPV to have a basic head unit, a conventional air-con system, and a traditional gear lever. All this along with a digital instrument panel and black monotone Nappa leather upholstery.
