KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia has expanded the i4 EV lineup in Malaysia by adding two new affordable variants - i4 eDrive35 and i4 eDrive35 M Sport. The updated range of the electric sedan now comprises a total of four variants, including the existing eDrive40 M Sport and M50 trims, catering to a wider range of preferences and driving needs of the customers.

The extended warranty pack comprises a 5-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service Programme. BMW also offers an 8-Year/160,000 km warranty against the battery.
With the Easy Drive Financing Plan offered by BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, you have the opportunity to buy the new i4 eDrive35 with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 3,358 and the eDrive35 M Sport at RM 3,657. It is based on a 5-year Easy Drive plan with a mileage of 100,000 km at 80% loan amount.
Powertrain, range, and charging
Both new i4 eDrive35 versions are powered by the same rear-mounted electric motor generating 286 PS of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque. It enables the EV to run from a standstill to 100 kmph in 6 seconds.
Feeding the motor is a 67 kWh battery pack, which offers a WLTP-claimed driving range of 483 km on a single charge. The latter takes 8.25 hours when using an 11-kW onboard AC charger. As for DC fast charging, the EV supports up to 180 kW with a 10-80% SoC attained in just 32 minutes.
Exterior
Like the premium trims, the new BMW i4 eDrive35 iterations also feature the brand’s signature kidney grille, identical LED headlights, and LED rear lights. However, what sets them apart are different wheels; the standard eDrive35 features 18-inch double-spoke light alloys while the i4 eDrive35 M Sport is kitted with 18-inch M aerodynamic wheels. The latter also gets aggressive bumpers and M high-gloss Shadowline exterior package.
When it comes to exterior colours, the following options are available for the new trims -
- BMW i4 eDrive35 - Black Sapphire, Sanremo Green, Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, and Aventurine Red

Dimensions
The new i4 eDrive35 variants are identical to the eDrive 40 in terms of dimensions. They measure 4,783 mm in length, 1,852 mm in width, and 1,448 mm in height and span a wheelbase of 2,856 mm. The maximum boot capacity is rated at 1,290 litres.
Interior
Inside, the standard eDrive35 variant boasts a sports leather steering wheel and elegant oak grain open-pored fine-wood trim, while the M Sport version stands out with its sporty Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite M interior trim and M Leather steering wheel.
