Bold styling
The revamped SUV has borrowed styling cues from its big brother, the new Range Rover. The front grille is now sleeker and merges with the smoked adaptive LED digital headlights. In addition, there is an aggressively styled bumper offering the SUV a mean-looking front fascia. Not only the front but the rear has also gone bold with LED rear lights containing a black trim strip and a diffuser in the lower bumper.
The smooth and soft lines dominate the side profile with the large 23-inch alloy wheels and flush-fitting pop-out door handles. The latter contributes to the super low drag coefficient of 0.29.

The new Range Rover Sport looks more luxurious with multiple upgrades, including -
- Redesigned dashboard inspired by the standard SUV
- 13.7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit incorporating JLR’s Pivi Pro software
- Rear seat entertainment with two 11.4-inch screens
- Chunky knobs and buttons for the climate control and other systems, unlike the recent trend of deleting buttons

Multiple engine choices
Land Rover introduced the 2022 Range Rover Sport with a choice of diesel, petrol, and plug-in hybrid engines, all coupled with AWD and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. An electric variant is also likely to be added in 2024. The available ones are -
Diesel: Two mills, both 3.0-litre straight-sixes paired with mild hybrid assistance; D300 and D350 generating 300 hp and 350 hp, respectively.
Petrol: A 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 530 hp and a mild-hybrid six-cylinder with 400 hp.
Plug-in hybrid: A 3.0-litre plug-in hybrid paired with a 32 kWh battery pack comes in two guises - P440e and P510e, delivering 440 hp and 510 hp, respectively. Both offer an all-electric range of 113 km.
Better suspension and off-road cruise control
The SUV also benefits from the new air suspension system and rear-wheel steering. Also, there is a new off-road cruise control system, which monitors tilt, roll, and pitch and adjusts the vehicle’s speed and a Wade Mode, which closes the cabin vents automatically, allowing it to crawl through water up to 900 mm deep.
The new Range Rover Sport is now available to order in the UK at a price starting from GBP 79,125 (RM 427,315).
