Check out the first official look of the 2021 Hyundai Tucson N Line

KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai pulled the drapes off the updated Tucson range back in September that certainly looks well equipped to cause a stir in the market. Now the Korean automaker teases the N Line version of the regular model to be loaded with more power under the bonnet and more aggressive exterior styling.

Although Hyundai does not reveal any information about the sporty Tucson N Line at this point as it is just a teaser, the official renderings do give us an idea of the visual upgrades. The performance SUV will be getting a slightly revised front bumper that dips lower with the large grille at the bottom mirroring the upper design. The large corner lights also get some sculpting for a more aggressive look. At the rear, a large diffuser in a bulked-up bumper can be easily spotted and it seems that the trapezoid side exhaust also received an oval finishing,

Also, the 2021 Hyundai Tucson will be getting unique two-tone 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped with Continental Premium Contact SSR tyres, body-painted fenders with N Line badges, and gloss black exterior trims.

Coming to the Hyundai Tucson N Line cabin, we are yet to catch glimpses of the SUV’s interior, but we can expect the sportier steering wheel as well as seats among the other upgrades.

Under the hood, the performance SUV is likely to borrow the engine from its sedan sibling, the Sonata N Line.  This is a 2.5-litre turbocharged GDi mill that is capable of generating 290 horsepower and 422 Nm of peak torque between 1650 and 4000 rpm and it is likely to be coupled with the brand’s new eight-speed N automatic transmission. A lighter, but highly strung 1.6-litre T-GDI unit making over 200 hp could also be on the cards.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson N Line will also offer some unique equipment and colour choices to the customers when it officially goes on sale in spring 2021. More details for sporty SUV are expected to unveil closer to its market launch.
