2020 Perodua Bezza brochure leaked, to start at RM 34,580

KUALA LUMPUR: Perodua has been busy updating its cars of late. And, the latest model to get a dose of newness by the Malaysian automaker is none other than its popular sedan, the Bezza. While rumours and speculations surrounding the facelifted Bezza have been floating around from some time now, the newest leaks reveal the brochure and the pricing details regarding the compact sedan and give us a better idea of how the updated Bezza may fair out in the market.

Launched for the first time in July 2016, the A-segment sedan was then slightly updated by Perodua in April 2017. And on this occasion, the Malaysian automaker is citing its sedan to be all that more stylish, attractive, and “Bolder. Smarter”. Moreover, it is not only the appearance of Bezza that Perodua has worked on, as we see various new features, creature comforts, and advanced safety tech making its way to the new Bezza.

Starting with the new stuff, we will see the all-new Perodua Bezza sporting LED headlamps, dual-tone side skirts, electronically adjustable and retractable ORVMs with turn signals, and stylish alloy rims on its exterior. The interior, on the other hand, will feature smart entry with push-button start/stop, reverse camera, rear parking sensors, front corner sensors, touchscreen infotainment system, and much more.

Moving on to the safety department, the updated Perodua Bezza will get multiple SRS airbags, ABD with EBD, and some other features as standard across the lineup. The high-end models will also receive the ASA 2.0 safety suite that incorporates Pre-Collision Warning (PCW), Pre-Collision Braking (PCB), Front Departure Alert (FDA), and Pedal Misoperation Control (PMC).

Powertrains options on the 2020 Perodua Bezza will involve the same pair of engines as before. Customers will be able to choose between the 1KR-VE 1.0-litre three-cylinder VVT-i engine and the 1NR-VE 1.3-litre unit. While the former generates 67 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 91 Nm, the latter is capable of pushing out 94 hp and 121 Nm. Power is channelled to the front wheels via a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.

The 2020 Perodua Bezza will available in four different variants, the models and their respective prices are as follows:

• 1.3L X Auto - RM 43,980
• 1.3L AV Auto - RM 49,980
