2020 Honda Jazz’s images leaked ahead of Tokyo Motor Show debut
KUALA LUMPUR: Images of the upcoming Honda Jazz (or Honda Fit in Japan) leaked just ahead of its global debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, scheduled to be held between October 24th to November 4th. The car will arrive with a more rounded and softer look, as seen on the leaked images. There will be four trim levels for the new hatch - Basic, Luxe, Ness, and Crosstar.
Design-wise, the fourth generation Jazz gets a larger, less geometric headlamps along with U-shaped LED DRLs. Moreover, there is a front grille with the brand’s signature Solid Wing Face, along with a slim front intake. Basic, Luxe, Ness variants’ front bumper features A-wing-style design as before.
On the other hand, the Jazz Crosstar gets a crossover look. It comes with a new bumper that has a louvred black grille, a front lip, and larger corner inlets. Besides, there are silver roof rails, a dual-tone paint job, and body cladding.
Coming to the side, there are thicker C-pillars. On the top of front wheel arches, there is a simple character line that connects door handles and rear taillights. Coming to the back, the horizontal two-piece taillight setup comes in place of the vertical taillight setup.
The inside of the new Honda Jazz tells the same story as the exterior. There is a featureless top dash, while a slim seven-inch digital instrument cluster is also available. The air vents which are mounted on the top are shifted to the sides of the nine-inch infotainment system.
The hatch to come with an e:HEV, which is an i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-mode Drive) hybrid powertrain. It contains two electric motor and a 1.5-litre petrol engine.
