2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Gets Upgraded Cabin at the Same Price

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is set to bring an upgraded version of the 2015 CLA 200 with no increment in price. The new model would feature a number of changes in the cabin, while on the outside the new variant remains exactly the same.

The exterior is still cohered with a Night Package comprising of high-gloss waistline trim strip, black wing mirrors and the dual tone 18-inch alloy wheels. It also includes sparkling bi-xenon LED headlamps with daytime running lights, dual exhaust openings and the chrome rear diffuser cut out.

A new steering wheel, larger display screen and a full-width carbon trim are the major upgrades this model is set to receive. The new three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel gets a tightly fitted leather covering providing elegant finish to the cabin. The new AMG carbon-trim runs across the dashboard, which replaces the existing silver wave-look trim. Though, the earlier tiny central display receives an upgrade to an 8-inch screen, but it is still the basic Audio 20 CD system with no inclusion of navigation option. The audio controls also get a clean and classy look inspired from the B-class facelift model.

The other features remains same as seen in the earlier version including manual air conditioning option, Artico faux leather upholstery, cruise control, reverse camera assist, paddle shifters, sports suspension, Collision Prevention Assist, Active Parking Assistant and an Attention Assist. Still, it comes with a no Keyless-Go option. However, it gets a Light and Sight ambient lighting for the front memory-powered sports seats.

Under the hood, it is still powered by a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which is good enough to yield out 154 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission system. The 0 to 100 Kmph sprint can be achieved in just 8.5 seconds before accelerating to a top speed of 230 Kmph.

As far as price is concerned, there is no change and you can grab this beautiful road machine at a price tag of RM 233,888, which includes GST and a 4 year unlimited mileage warranty (without insurance).
