  • Variants and Prices

Hyundai offers the new 10-seater Staria in three variants - Lite, Plus, and Max. The prices are as follows -

    Variants

    Price (with standard warranty)

Price (with extended warranty and service package)

    Lite

    RM 179,888

    RM 189,999

    Plus

    RM 196,888

    RM 206,888

    Max

    RM 209,888

    RM 219,888

The base prices include the standard warranty for two-year/50,000 km (whichever comes first), while the extended package includes a five-year/300,000 km manufacturer’s warranty and three-year/50,000 km complimentary service.

The latest Staria is priced at nearly half of the 7-seater Premium model, which has been on sale in the local market since October 2021 for RM 366,768. The reason for this massive price discrepancy is the different tax structures for the different segments in which the two SUVs fall. The latest model lies in the commercial vehicle category which has a lower tax rate compared to the 7-seat people hauler segment.

    Exterior

Both the 10-seater and 7-seat models share the same body, which measures 5,253 mm in length, 1997 mm in width, 1,990 mm in height, and has a 3,273 mm long wheelbase. Parts of the standard equipment kit are LED headlights, LED DRLs, manual sliding doors, bulb-type tail lights and fog lamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 215/65 tyres.

With the mid-spec Plus, the customers get LED tail lights, rear LED fog lights and power sliding doors. However, the range-topping Max brings onboard smart sliding doors with a one-touch button, a smart walk-in entry system, a powered tailgate, and bigger 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 235/55 rubbers.

The 10-seater Staria is also equipped with side steps for easy ingress and egress (available with Plus and Max) and a new exclusive body kit as standard.

The colour options available for different Staria variants are -

Lite - Abyss Black Pearl and Creamy White

Plus - Abyss Black Pearl, Creamy White, and Shimmering Silver metallic

Max - Abyss Black Pearl, Creamy White, Shimmering Silver metallic, Graphite Grey metallic, and Moonlight Blue Pearl choices.

    Interior

Hop inside the 10-seater Staria and you will be greeted by a  2-3-2-3 seat arrangement offering ample legroom, shoulder room, and headroom for all occupants. The seats are wrapped with black fabric as standard with no power adjustments or heating/ventilating feature. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows can be folded flat to fit in a bed for camping with a maximum loading capacity of 1,024 litres.

As for safety, the Lite and Plus come with a standard pack comprising six airbags, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, rear occupant alert, and parking distance warning.
