Jaguar I-Pace & its impressive in-car tech

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia finally included the 2023 I-Pace in its lineup recently with the car making its global debut almost five years ago. But anyways, we are happy to receive Jaguar’s new offering in the local market and can’t be more amazed by its stringing design language and advanced features.

While we have discussed the I-Pace briefly in its launch story, here our focus is on its in-car technology which is seamlessly integrated and makes controlling the EVs features and connected devices super simple.

So, without further ado let’s dive into I-Pace's advanced set of in-can tech features -

PIVI PRO Infotainment System

Using this interactive infotainment system is as easy as operating your smartphone. It offers key information like contacts, media, and navigation at just a touch.

New Navigation

The I-PACE does not get just any navigation system but a really advanced one that offers real-time traffic updates to the driver. Along with showing live access to EV charging points, it provides parking & place information, even when connectivity is not available. All the information is displayed in 2D or 3D detail with voice guidance which automatically mutes on familiar routes.

Online Pack

The I-PACE’s online pack is curated to make your journey even more connected. It puts everything required within reach, like online media, weather updates, calendar info, and points of interest. The voice dictation system comes in super handy to send messages while staying focused on the road.

Wi-Fi with Data Plan

The I-PACE gets in-built 4G data, and also present is an optional Wi-Fi Hotspot that offers in-car Internet access. The Wi-Fi enabled with Data Plan, keeps you in touch with the outside world along with keeping everyone entertained with video streaming. For the best possible connection, an external antenna is used by the Wi-Fi.

Jaguar InControl App

The Jaguar InControl App allows the user to interact with the EV and discover information about the vehicle like the available range. In the event of a breakdown, the Jaguar Optimised Assistance will transmit Ev's location and diagnostic data.

Smartphone pack

The I-PACE Touchscreen makes smartphone interaction super easy via Android AutoTM and Apple CarPlay.

Secure Tracker

Rest assured about the I-PACE’s safety as the in-built tracking technology will alert the driver in the event of attempted theft and will signal the vehicle’s information to the Stolen Vehicle Tracking Centre. The optional Secure Tracker Pro, on the other hand, sends an alert to the relevant authorities in case the car is stolen with a cloned key.

Smart Settings

The Smart Settings function automatically identifies each driver via their phone and key, it then selects preferred seat and mirror positions. It also plays the driver’s preferred media at the beginning of the journey. The system can even learn and automate preferences based on past habits and routines.

Head-up Display

Reducing driver’s distraction by manifold, the I-PACE’s head-up display presents key vehicle info on the windscreen. To improve readability it features crystal clear full-color HD graphics.

Interactive Driver Display

The new Jaguar EV features a 12.3-inch high-definition Interactive Driver Display which offers relevant driver information, including full-screen navigation with 3D mapping. It offers information with utmost clarity and the refined processing mill delivers smooth-moving graphics.

MERIDIAN Audio System

The I-PACE sound system is powered by British audio expert MeridianTM. The system consists of two units with 16 speakers and 1 subwoofer arrangement offering the best sound experience one can imagine.

Jaguar IGUIDE

Wanna know all about the I-PACE features, the Jaguar iGuide app with its latest technology explains everything to the user. It doubles as a mobile owner’s manual, giving you all the answers at all times.

Overall, the I-PACE is made to offer an incredibly streamlined experience, but through the two touch screens, head-up display, the interactive driver display, or via the connected smartphone. With Jaguar’s new EV, everything you need is just a touch away.

The fully electric Jaguar SUV is offered in two variant options, namely base Black LE and range-topping HSE. They are priced at -

Every purchase comes with a five-year/150,000 km warranty, a five-year/120,000 km free service package, as well as an eight-year/160,000 km warranty specifically for the battery.

Powertrain

Powering the I-PACE is a twin-motor set-up (one on each axle) which makes maximum power output of 400 hp along with a peak torque of 696 Nm. The car comes with an all-wheel drive drivetrain setup that translates to a century sprint timing of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 200 kmph.

The e-motors are juiced by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery which gives the EV a driving range of 470 km.
