All-new Toyota Innova Zenix: Detailed in Images

It was only yesterday that UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) launched the Innova Zenix MPV in the local market. We couldn’t be more excited as the new model would not replace the ongoing second-generation Innova. So, buyers will have both options at their disposal - the ongoing Innova CG and the new Innova Zenix.

As per the automaker, “For those who require the load-carrying capabilities and more functional attributes, UMW Toyota Motor will continue to offer the Innova 2.0X and 2.0G currently assembled in Malaysia.”

While we have discussed the all-new Toyota Innova Zenix in detail in its launch story, here we attempt to help you know it better via visual aid.

So, without any detail let’s get started -

The new Innova Zenix is built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform that enhances one's driving experience via technological advancements which unite both the driver and vehicle.

The MPV measures 4,760 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,790/1795 mm in height. Thus making the car 20 mm long and 15 mm wider compared to the Innova CG. The 2,850 mm of wheelbase is a full 100 mm longer. Also, its ground clearance is 185 mm.

The new Toyota Innova Zenix has a bold personality that will turn heads on the road with its refreshed design and advanced features. The latter will elevate your drive at every moment.

The Innova Zenix showcases a new front grille with a striking trapezium design that gives the MPV its signature suave look.

The new LED headlamps with auto high beam not only look sleek and stylish but enhance visibility that will light up your adventure ahead. The front lighting setup also includes LED daytime running lights and fog lamps.

Adding to the MPVs stylish sight are the new silver 18-inch alloys.

The Innova Zenix benefits from a new power backdoor that allows you to easily access the luggage space with just a press of a button.

The MPV offers a boot space of 239 liters with all seats erect and a massive 690 liters with the third row folded.

The Zenix is a three-row MPV with eight and seven-seat configurations depending on the variant. While the 2.0 HV gets a 2-2-3 seating layout with two captain seats in the middle row, the 2.0V trim showcases a 2-3-3 layout.

The new MPV greets the driver and passengers with its cozy and comfortable cabin which features new fully black leather seats across every row.

Redefine your cabin experience with the convenient lamp placed underneath the premium black leather instrument panel.

The new Innova Zenix allows users to experience seamless entertainment on the go with the new 10.1-inch head unit with smartphone connectivity. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto.

The new 7-inch TFT multi-info display shows all vehicular information on the go which a driver needs for a comfortable journey.

The new air-con system helps control temperature and air distribution within the cabin for both the driver and passengers.

Every journey in the new Zenix is smooth and full of stability, all thanks to the MPVs new lighter steering with paddle shift.

The MPV is tuned with a new parking brake installed with electronic functionality that offers the driver complete peace of mind.

Under the hood the all-new Toyota Innova Zenix gets a new powertrain setup which includes a 1,987 cc 4-cylinder, in-lin, 16-valve DOHC engine. The mill however makes different outputs depending on the variant. For instance, in the 2.0 HEV it makes 152 PS and 188 Nm of torque and 174 PS and 205 Nm in the 2.0 V variant. The 2.0 HEV trim combines the engine with a permanent magnet synchronous motor and nickel-metal hydride (NiMh) battery.

The drive is sent to the wheels via a Direct Shift CVT with 10 virtual ratios in its ‘Sequential Shiftmatic’ programme. The new gearbox comes with a ‘launch gear’ mechanism and offers better fuel efficiency, quietness, and stronger acceleration.

Toyota offers the new Innova Zenix with best-in-class safety features, all thanks to the all-new Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 which includes - Pre-Collision System (PCS or AEB), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC or ACC), Auto High Beam (AHB), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) and Road Sign Assist (RSA).

Other details -

The new Innova Zenix is offered in two variant options, namely the 2.0 V and the 2.0 HEV hybrid. They are priced at RM165,000 and RM202,000 respectively, on-the-road excluding insurance. Also, the MPV is offered in five hues - Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, and Avant Garde Bronze Metallic.
