Only last week, Volkswagen Car Malaysia launched the all-new VW Touareg R-Line. Priced at RM 469,990, the new VW marks the official debut of the 3rd gen Touareg in the country and the best part is that it will be a locally assembled car.

The user's Apple or Android smartphone apps are displayed on the information display via the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto respectively. Part of the setup includes a 45-watt USB-C connection for rapid device charging.

Front cross traffic assist

The Front Cross Traffic Assist helps the driver navigate uncertain exits and tricky junctions. The system uses radar technology to detect crossing vehicles to provide the user with visual and acoustic warnings at speeds up to 30 kmph. In critical situations, the system event initiates emergency braking at speeds up to 10 km/h.

Night vision

The Advanced Night Vision system offers an edge during nighttime driving. It alerts the driver of pedestrians and animals well in advance via detecting thermal radiations; thus extending your vision beyond headlights.

Adaptive cruise control

The ACC uses sensors to detect vehicles ahead of the Touareg, helps the driver adjust speed, and manages the distance from the car in the front.

Proactive passenger protection system

The system detects risky situations and activates safety measures such as tightening seat belts, closing windows, and activating hazard lights.

Lane Assist

If the car is running at 35 km/h or faster, the IQ.DRIVE helps it keep from going over the lines. In case the SUV begins to drift without the driver turning on the indicator, IQ.DRIVE will warn the driver and even counter-steer (when activated) to help ensure the car stays in the lane.
