2023 Toyota GR Corolla: Performance hatchback detailed in images

It was only last month that UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) launched not one but five GR-branded cars. The most exciting among the bunch is the Toyota GR Corolla, a brand new hot hatch from the automaker.

The new GR Corolla showcases a bold design language that is built keeping in mind both form and function. The car’s aggressive profile features functional hood vents, a carbon fiber roof, and widened front fender flares. Other features include

Adding to the car’s functional profile is its spaciousness. For instance, the plush rear seats are good enough to accommodate five passengers, making a long ride joyful with friends and family.

Proving it to be a bliss for the driver, the GR Corolla comes equipped with a cross-sectional shape steering wheel that takes operability into consideration. It enhances the driver’s hand while driving.

Further adding to the Toyota’s new hot hatch capability is a 12.3-inch digital Multi-Info Display with an AWD mode, GR start-up animation, gear shift indicator s turbo pressure, and more.

Covering the top spot on the dashboard is a 9-inch audio multimedia system that comes standard with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto wireless connectivity.

Open the hood and you will be greeted by the game-changing 1.6-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine that gives the hot hatch an unparalleled performance on any terrain.
The mill generates a maximum power of 300 PS along with a peak torque of 370 Nm. The setup allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.3 seconds.

The 1.6L engine is paired with a 6-speed short-shift intelligent manual transmission. The layout ensures supreme smoothness while gear changes along with engine response during up- & downshifts.

A performance car needs a powerful engine along with a capable braking system. The new GR CCorolls come equipped with ventilated and slotted brake rotors with four-piston fixed calipers at the front and two-piston fixed calipers at the rear.

The 2023 Toyota GT Corolla, apart from being a performance-oriented car, is equally safe. It comes equipped with a new Track Mode that brings important information like RPM and gear into focus. Also, functions like Vehicle Stability Control & Traction Control allow the car to maintain control on slippery surfaces and stability on curves.
