2023 Renault Zoe: Buyer's guide

It was only last month that Renault Malaysia launched the all-new Zoe EV in the local market. And now after discussing each and every aspect of the electric vehicle in detail via images, it’s time to guide the buyers through the journey of purchase.

So, without further ado let’s start with Zoe’s buyer’s guide.

2023 Renault Zoe: Variants & Price

For the model year 2023, Renault has renamed Zoe’s variants to ZE50 R110 and ZE50 R135. Below mentioned table gives out their pricing -

ZE50 R110	RM165,000
ZE50 R135	RM179,000

Part of the above-mentioned pricing is a three-year, 100,000-km vehicle warranty along with an eight-year, 160,000-km battery warranty with a minimum capacity of 70%.

2023 Renault Zoe: Powertrain

Both the 2023 Renault Zoe variants are powered by a new Z.E. 50 battery with an energy capacity of 52 kWh. However, it delivers different output and range in the two variants.

The base R110 offers a higher range compared to the range-topping R135, however, the latter packs higher power and torque output.

Charging

Charging is an important component of an electric vehicle and it is for the all-new Renault Zoe.

The EV gets both the AC and DC charging options and offers identical charging times for both variants, details of which are as follows -

AC	7.4 kW, Type 2	0 to 100% in 9.5 hrs
DC	50 kW, CCS2	0 to 80% in 70 mins

Exterior

The all-new Renault Zoe is a city car that will electrify the owner's lifestyle via its signature lighting, sleek lines along with its powerful and expressive design. While the R110 and R135 look identical, however, with some differences.

Overall, the range-topping R135 gets a few extra features, however, the base model is equally well-equipped and allows owners to enjoy the journey.

Renault Zoe EV enjoys a pretty loaded standard safety kit which includes -

Conclusion

Both the Renault Zoe variants have several things in common including the powertrain along with some key exterior and interior features. Even the safety kit is largely shared. However, if you are looking for a little extra power and output along with a few add-features here and there, then the R135 is the one for you.
