Zontes ZT310R1

There is a fine sense of aggression and sharpness in the design of the Zontes ZT310R1, which makes it appealing for those who love their motorcycles to look great and stand out from the crowd. The extremely busy styling of the Zontes ZT310R1 gives it a great and powerful stance, which is commendable for a motorcycle of its price.

At the front, the Zontes ZT310R1 has a compact front fascia, which looks very attractive with a small LED projector bulb in its lower portion and a slanting front cowl surrounding it. The housing of the projector bulb has tapered upper edges, which are flanked with two strips of LED daytime running lamps. The front fender of the motorcycle looks as sharp as the front cowl.

The Zontes ZT310R1 has a very athletic and sharp stance when viewed from the sides, something which we have come across only in the new-age top-class roadsters from Italian bike makers. The fuel tank and edgy-looking fuel tank extensions have been shared with the Zontes ZT310T adventure tourer, which perfectly suits the character of the overall motorcycle. Below the fuel tank, you do get the bronze-themed engine, which gets a sizeable engine cowl with sharp lines below it. The funky part of the design of the Zontes ZT310R1 is that the alloy wheels of the motorcycle are colour coded with the colour of the rest of the motorcycle.

What adds a bit more exotic appeal to the design of the Zontes ZT310R1 is the exposed appeal it shows on the rear, with a single-sided swingarm, absence of a proper rear fender, and a small tyre hugger with LED turn indicators and license plate mounted on it. The floating and well-curved tailpiece accommodates the curved and stepped single seat. The motorcycle also gets upswept double-barrel slim exhaust pipes, which along with the engine, front forks, handlebar, clutch, and front brake levers and mirror stalks, are finished in a theme of bronze.

The Zontes ZT310R1 shares its full-TFT rectangular instrument console, which has very nice-looking graphics for all the crucial information like speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, gear indicator, odometer, trip meters, and a host of MID data.

For its segment, the Zontes ZT310R1 gets a premium suspension combination of upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a fully-adjustable mono-shock at the back. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 110/70 R17 tyre at the front and a 160/60 R17 tyre at the rear. It misses out on the radial tyres, which the other 310cc motorcycles from Zontes get as standard. The motorcycle is equipped with a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear for braking duties.

Powering the Zontes ZT310R1 is a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 312cc engine, which has been developed wholly by Zontes and shared with other motorcycles like ZT310T and ZT310X. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and churns out a maximum power output of 35 PS and a peak torque output of 30 Nm.

Zontes has equipped the ZT310R1 with essential safety features for this segment, like a dual-channel ABS and a slip and assist clutch.

The biggest and most-highlighted talking point of the Zontes ZT310R1 has to be its stunning design. It surely gives the motorcycle an exotic appeal and helps it stand out from the crowd. What helps its looks is the promising performance from its 312cc engine, which puts down the power on the road finely.
