QJ Motor SRK600 Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
The QJ motor SRK 600 is the flagship naked roadster from the Chinese automaker QJ Motor and is also one of the most affordable motorcycles powered by an inline-four engine. This aggressive-looking middleweight naked roadster is for those who want an affordable inline-four motorcycle with a big bike appeal. The QJ motor SRK 600 is being offered in a single variant with two colour options – Merah (Red) and Putih (White).
QJ Motor SRK600 Design
The QJ motor SRK 600 has a purposeful aggressive design, which makes it look outrageous from every angle. The overall design might make it look like it is heavily inspired by the Kawasaki Z1000, especially at the front. However, some elements give the QJ motor SRK 600 a distinctive personality of its own.
At the front, the QJ motor SRK 600 has a rakish fascia, which includes a sharp and inclined cowl with twin angular LED headlamps incorporated within it. These headlamps also come with daytime running LEDs within them, while the headlamp cowl has a black garnish at the top and LED turn indicators mounted on its lower corners. There is no adequate wind protection like a visor above the headlamp, with the instrument console exposed from the front.
The side profile is where all the burliness of the QJ motor SRK 600 commences, with this middleweight motorcycle having a large and muscular-looking fuel tank. With large tank extensions and long and sharp knee recesses, this bulky-looking fuel tank makes the QJ motor SRK 600 appear larger than it is.
The space beneath the fuel tank of the QJ motor SRK 600 looks packed and muscular too, with the motorcycle having an exposed trellis frame below the fuel tank and the large inline-four engine finished in a theme of dark grey below the frame. All four exhaust pipes of this inline-four engine are fully exposed, which adds to the visual bulk of the motorcycle.
Towards the rear, the QJ motor SRK 600 has a floating tail section, with the motorcycle having a curved seat sitting over it. The rearmost tip of this floating tail section has a compact LED tail lamp, while the rear tyre has a compact tyre hugger over it with LED turn indicators mounted on it. The instrument console of the QJ motor SRK 600 is a rectangular full-TFT display unit, which includes a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, gear indicator, clock and additional warning lights.
SRK600 Ride & Handling
With the same old trellis frame under its new skin, the QJ motor SRK 600 has a suspension combination of upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a KYB mono-shock with an aluminium swingarm at the rear. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels equipped with a 120/70 ZR17 tyre at the front and a 180/55 ZR17 tyre at the rear, the QJ motor SRK 600 also comes with a braking setup including dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 260mm disc at the rear.
QJ Motor SRK600 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The real highlight of the QJ motor SRK 600 is its four-stroke, liquid-cooled, inline-four, 600cc engine, which has been shared with the Benelli TNT 600. Paired with a 6-speed transmission, this engine delivers 81 PS of maximum power output and 55 Nm of maximum torque. While the engine looks powerful on paper and has a nice pull towards the redline, the bottom-end grunt could have been better.
SRK600 Braking & Safety
The QJ motor SRK 600 is not heavily equipped with riding aids like any modern middleweight motorcycle. However, it does get essentials like a dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire and slip-and-assist clutch.
QJ Motor SRK600 Verdict
If someone wants the aura and feels of an inline-four engine at an affordable price point, the QJ motor SRK 600 fits the bill. While it might lack the finesse and equipment levels of its Japanese and European rivals, the QJ motor SRK 600 is a decent middleweight motorcycle with muscular looks and a refined and nice-sounding inline-four engine.
