KTM 250 EXC-F Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
After revolutionizing the off-road motorcycle scene in 2016, KTM has regularly introduced class-leading off-road bikes in Malaysia. The most compact model of the KTM 4-stroke range, the 250 EXC-F, offers a surprisingly colossal power for its size. Its super compact and powerful engine, along with a lightweight body and fantastic handling, is a perfect choice for not only motivated amateurs but ambitious professional off-roaders as well. The 250 EXC-F features an advanced fuel injection system, which ensures class-leading performance, excellent throttle response, plenty of torque, and controlled power delivery. Moreover, the KTM 250 EXC-F has a lightweight steel trellis frame that contributes to easy handling, inspiring complete rider confidence and riding progression. Durable in-mould graphics convey the ready-to-race character of the sportbike and add to the aggressive rugged looks. It features a digital console that includes a speedometer and a screen to display other vital information. Through innovative R&D efforts and productive partnerships with leading aftermarket brands, KTM is able to offer a variety of optional parts to the customers, like the skid plate, Akrapovic racing line, brake caliper with brake disc guard, etc., which further enhance the aesthetics, functionality, and performance of the 250 EXC-F. At present, the 250 EXC-F is offered in a single variant that retails at RM 44,000 (excluding insurance and taxes). It competes against the likes of Kawasaki KX450F, the Honda CRF250, and the Kawasaki KX250F.

State-of-the-art Keihin Engine Management System features a 42 mm throttle body with different systems for cold starting and idle adjustment. KTM has equipped the 250 EXC-F with a DS (diaphragm steel) clutch that has a wire-free steel basket and heat-resistant clutch plates. Additionally, the Brembo hydraulic system offers easy and precise clutch modulation throughout the entire operating temperature range. The KTM 250 EXC-F features radiators, mounted close to the center of gravity, match the design of the shrouds perfectly, to achieve the perfect ergonomics. The engine is fitted with the proven electric starter, powered by a super lightweight 2 AH lithium-ion starter battery, which is a great boon for any off-road activity.
250 EXC-F Braking & Safety

The high-tech Brembo brakes are as hard as you can expect and are perfect for off-roading activities. Riders also have an option to activate Traction Control. This unique feature guarantees efficient traction, mainly in slippery conditions, and can be activated with a push of a while driving.
