The car is a great performer but a miss on design

Corolla cars were always sedans then why is this model an awkward hatchback? I understand Toyota may have wanted to expand their offerings with a fresh take on Corolla and go into the premium hatchback segment, but design doesn’t really cut it. One of the main reasons for that, at least for me, is because most cars in the GR series have a really nice design that is curvy and fluidic. This car fails on that end and the chunky design I feel negatively impacts the performance of the car too. So, it is not best suited for me.
