With its slick 6-speed manual transmission which rev-matches itself and great breaking performance, the Honda Civic Type-R takes enhances the level of hatchback to the executive class. I have driven several hatchbacks and let me tell you, the handling of this one is absolutely best in class. The cabin layout is very practical with split folding rear seats revealing increased luggage space. The adaptive suspension is very comfortable and lends a pleasant ride quality. I particularly like the Comfort driving mode which softens the transmission but doesn’t compromise on the handling and maneuverability.
