Seems like the Malaysian motorcycle market is going through a phase of upgrading. It was only yesterday that Royal Enfield added new hues to the Meteor 350 lineup and before that the Yamaha NMax got the new tones.  Now we hear the same for the Yamaha XMax 250.

In addition to the new colour options, the Yamaha Malaysia scooter also gets a new, higher price tag.

Let us get to know the 2022 XMax 250 in detail -

2022 Yamaha XMax 250 price

The XMax 250 now retails for RM 22,298 which is RM 3000 more than the previous price tag of RM 21,998. The new pricing excludes registration, insurance, and road tax.

Every purchase is accompanied by a 2-year/20,000km warranty against manufacturing defects and an RM100 worth of Yamaha safety disc lock.

2022 Yamaha XMax 250 colour options

The new hues introduced by Yamaha for the stylish XMax 250 are Red and Matte Green.

Apart from price and colour options, everything else remains unchanged. For instance, powering the XMax 250 is a 250 cc Euro 4 compliant liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill pumping out a maximum power output of 22.5 hp at 7,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 24.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The drive is sent to the rear wheels via a CVT gearbox and belt final drive.

Part of the scooters feature kit is - a two-wheel ABS, traction control, LED lighting all around, manually adjustable windshield & handlebars, a monochrome LCD panel (displaying information like fuel gauge, odometer, temperature gauge, tripmeter, other related info), and analogue speedometer & tachometer.

Assuring a smooth ride as before is its suspension setup that includes a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock with 79 mm of travel at the rear. Braking is taken care of by a single hydraulic disc on both wheels.
