Yamaha Malaysia recalls NVX, YZF-R15M for parts replacement

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. (HLYM), the official distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Malaysia has issued a recall notice for two of its popular models, the NVX and YZF-R15M. The recall programme is focused on replacing and upgrading the CCU (Control Circuit Unit) assembly for these motorcycles, aiming to enhance performance and safety standards.

The recall involves select models of the NVX and YZF-R15M manufactured in the years 2021, 2022, and 2023. The list includes -

It is to be noted that Hong Leong Yamaha Motor will not send official letters to all affected customers. Instead, customers are encouraged to visit their preferred authorised Yamaha dealership for further confirmation. 

Appointments at Yamaha authorised dealers or Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HQ), Sungai Buloh, can be scheduled using the online service bookings available at https://service.yamaha-motor.com.my/booking.

The recall programme demonstrates Hong Leong Yamaha Motor's dedication to provide high-quality products and services to their customers, emphasising the importance of the CCU assembly in the functioning of the motorcycles. 

The recall and upgrade programme will be conducted in stages. In the meantime, customers are advised to continue riding and maintaining their motorcycles according to the instructions in the owner’s manual.
