Yamaha launches 2021 NVX155 VVA in Thai market

KUALA LUMPUR: After Indonesia, the Thai market is blessed with the all-new 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 VVA. If the two-wheeler above looks familiar that’s because it’s the updated version of the NVX155 available in Malaysia.

The 2021 NVX 155 VVA is offered in two trim options in Thailand - ABS and non-ABS. The former retails for 78,500 Bath (approx. 10,626), while the later is priced at 67,500 Bath (approx. 9,137).

Powering the new NVX155 VVA is a 155 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Yamaha's Blue Core efficiency design. The said unit churns out a maximum power of 15.4 hp at 8,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

Barking duties in the 2021 NVX155 VVA are taken care of by a front single hydraulic disc and rear mechanical drum brake. The suspension is taken care of by conventional telescopic front forks and rear twin remote reservoir shock absorbers.

Weighing at 125 kg, the new Yamaha NVX155 VVA comes with a 5.5-litre fuel tank making sure the rider doesn’t make frequent re-fueling stops. It also has a big, 25-litre under-seat storage compartment.

• 14-inch wheels wrapped in 110/80-14 & 140/70-14 tyres

Not to forget, Yamaha Y-Connect is offered as a standard feature, it allows the rider to pair his smartphone with the vehicle and allows monitoring of several functions like malfunction notification, vehicles parking location, maintenance intervals, fuel consumption, and battery level. Also, when connected with the Y-Connect the rider’s smartphone acts as a secondary instrument panel by displacing tachometer and other information. But this doesn’t mean the phone will give up on its basic functions with rider’s simultaneously getting call and message notifications.

Depending on the variant chosen, the 2021 NVX155 VVA is offered in a total of six colour options. The regular NVX155 VVA comes in Alpha Red, Power Black, and Faster Turquoise tones. The range-topping NVX155 VVA ABS model is available in Racing Blue, Silver Light, and Dark Night.
