Yamaha launches 2019 Tracer 900 GT at RM 58,888

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha Malaysia has added the Tracer 900 GT in the 900 cc range of motorcycles. The all-new bike joins the standard model of Tracer 900 and the naked sports version of MT-09. It carries a price tag of RM 58,888 excluding the insurance, tax, and registration.

The GT of the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT stands for the Gran Turismo. The motorcycle comes with a lot of equipment, including cruise control, a quick-shifter, and heated bar grips. The bike also comes with a centre stand and a TFT-LCD display. The front screen gets a brand-new design and can be adjusted manually. These goodies make riding the bike comfortable. It also has wind protection, which enhances the convenience even at speeds of up to 160 kmph.

Speaking of the suspension, the two-wheeler comes with fully-adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock with remote adjuster at the rear. The stability of the vehicle is now increased as the wheelbase takes a bump of 60 mm.

The Yamaha Tracer 900 GT gets a 847 cc inline-triple liquid-cooled engine that churns out up to 115 PS of power which comes at 10,000 rpm, while the peak torque of 87.5 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The 2019 Tracer 900 GT is available in two different color options - Matte Blue and Grey. The delivery has started and will be available at the authorised Hong Leong Yamaha dealer by 5th of February.

The 2019 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT will give tough competition to the likes of Triumph XCX, which has a price tag of RM 74,900, and the BMW F 850 GS, with RM 79,500 price tag. Also, the Ducati Multistrada 950 is one of the big names in this segment and has a price tag of RM 85,900.
