Vespa Malaysia launches three new vehicles; price starts at RM 12,500

KUALA LUMPUR: At an official event yesterday, Vespa Malaysia launched three new vehicles in the country. Included in the list is the 2019 Vespa Sprint S 150, 2019 Primavera S 150, and 2019 Sprint S125 Carbon Edition.

The 2019 Vespa Primavera S 150 replaces the ongoing Primavera 150 ABS. This one is a classic style scooter that runs on attractive 12-inch aluminium 5-spoke alloy wheels. As the model name suggests, it is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder i-Get engine by EFI. On the Primavera S 150, this engine poops out a maximum power of 12.9 hp at 7,750 rpm along with a peak torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

The front-wheel comes with ABS (as standard equipment), it rests on the 200 mm hydraulic brake, as for the rear wheels it uses a 140 mm diameter mechanical drum brake. The all-new Primavera gets a fuel tank with 8-litre capacity, and the seat height is measured at 790 mm. It is offered in three striking color splashes - White Innocenza, Black Vulcano, and new Red Profondo.

Coming to the next offering, the Vespa Sprint S 150. It is powered by the same 155 cc unit as the new Primavera S 150 and churns out identical power and torque figures. What’s unique to the model is a saddle that’s done in black with light grey piping. The Sprint S 150 is offered in three color tones - Black Vulcano, Blue Vivace, and Grey Materia.

Last on the list is the new Vespa Sprint S125 Carbon Edition that is decked up with the carbon-look trim and Italian Tricolore. It is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder mill and stands on 11-inch wheels. The two available color options are - White Innocenza and Black Vulcano.
