Vespa celebrates Disney’s 100th anniversary with a limited edition model

KUALA LUMPUR: Vespa is celebrating 100 years of Disney with a cute, limited edition Disney Mickey Mouse scooter.

Based on the Primavera scooter, the latest limited edition Vespa showcases a unique color scheme inspired by Mickey Mouse’s signature colors - Red, Yellow, Black, and White. Each hue represents one of Mickey’s attributes, for instance, yellow shoes, black round ears, white gloves, and red pants.

Also, the scooter showcases white graphic patterns of Mickey Mouse on either side and on the front as well. Further, making everyone aware of its limited edition nature is Mickey Mouse’s autograph displayed on the saddle and the front steel.

As mentioned, the limited edition Disney Mickey Mouse scooter is based on the Primavera; the new retro-styled scooter retains the original mechanical specifications, featuring an air-cooled single-cylinder engine and CVT gearbox options. However, unlike the Primavera, the latter will be offered in three model options - 50cc, 125cc, and 150cc.

The chief executive of global strategy, product, marketing, and innovation of the Piaggio Group, Michele Colaninno, on the reveal of the limited edition scooter, expressed his enthusiasm for the company’s latest collaboration with Disney. He stated that Vespa could not miss the opportunity to pay homage to an everlasting icon like Mickey Mouse. And together the two makers aim to celebrate creativity, imagination, lightheartedness, and fun.

Vespa with the Disney Mickey Mouse Edition wants to capture the hearts and souls of Disney and Vespa enthusiasts alike. However, with its limited edition nature, the scooter is bound to become a collector’s item.
