Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black editions revealed
KUALA LUMPUR: The British’s largest bike maker Triumph has come up with two special edition versions of its Rocket 3 power cruiser - Rocket 3 R Black and the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black. The new editions bring extra exclusivity to the range with new levels of meaner and moodier looks. On the exterior, the Triumph Rocket 3 R Black sports a single-tone finish, while the Rocket 3 GT gets three different shades of black, according to its name ‘Triple Black’. Both motorcycles feature a carbon fibre front mudguard, black exhaust headers, heat shields, and end caps, along with a powder-coated black intake cover. The headlight bezels, fly screen finishers, radiator cowls of the limited-edition Rocket 3 models are also finished in black, just like the brake and clutch levers, brake and gear pedals, and bar-end mirrors.
At the heart, the automaker did not bring any change for the power cruisers, Both limited versions are powered by the same 2,458-cc, three-cylinder unit (largest production motorcycle engine in the world) generating a maximum output of 167 hp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 221 Nm at 4000 rpm. The bikes can hit the 0-100 kmph mark in just 2.73 seconds.
Talking about the equipment list, it remains identical to the one found on the standard Rocket 3 models. It includes a TFT display pre-enabled for an accessory fit My Triumph connectivity system, LED lighting, 20 spoke cast wheels, keyless ignition and keyless steering lock, USB charging socket, optimised Cornering ABS, traction control, hill hold control, cruise control, and heated grips.
Triumph offers only 1000 units for each of the Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black. Each will come with a certificate of authenticity detailing the model’s specific VIN.
