Moto Guzzi Malaysia unveils 2019 MGX-21; priced at RM 172k

KUALA LUMPUR: Moto Guzzi Malaysia has unveiled the latest 2019 MGX-21 for our market. Along with being the newest launch, this two-wheeler is also Moto Guzzi's most high-tech model until now.

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has named the street runner as “Flying Fortress” and it is also the brand's flagship. The pricing detail of the model is already made available to the public in Malaysia, i.e., RM 172,000 minus tax. Further, it will be only available only on special orders.

The bike was unveiled in 2017, and it is enriched with Moto Guzzi’s engineering abilities. This latest model gets a futuristic look, which is marked by ‘Batwing’ like front fairing sculpted using Computational Fluid Dynamics technology. The overall design results in productive aerodynamics to enhance the riding experience.

MGX-21 gets a comfortable seat height of 780 mm and 341 kg of wet weight (without fuel). It gets features like electronic management, improved traction control, and, cruise control. One of the most highlighting features of the bike is the 21-inch alloy wheel at the front, which is covered with carbon-fibre. The MGX-2 spec-sheet also includes an LCD display, entertainment system, and Bluetooth connectivity that can be paired with up to five devices for easy music control and receiving phone calls.

Guzzi’s trademark 1,380 cc transverse air-cooled V-twin engine makes its way into the two-wheeler. The mill churns out a maximum power of 96.6hp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 121 Nm at 3,000 rpm.
