Modenas gifts Karisma 125S scooter to Harimau Malaya fan

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia-born bikemaker Modenas is deeply committed to nurturing and celebrating the passion of Malaysians, both on and off the field. The automaker recently responded to the touching story of Derrick Gan, a true Harimau Malaya enthusiast from Melaka who sacrificed his motorcycle to back Malaysia at the Asian Cup.

Expressing gratitude for his unwavering dedication and passion towards the national football team, Modenas presented Derrick with a brand-new Modenas Karisma 125S. 

The surprise handover ceremony was held at KLIA 1 Arrival Hall, where Derrick received a warm welcome from Roslan Roskan, CEO of Modenas. The brand’s representatives, members of the ERA.fm team, and other well-wishers also witnessed this cherishable moment of unity and shared passion for sports.

Roslan Roskan stated, "Derrick's story resonated with us, showcasing the true spirit of Malaysian football enthusiasts. Modenas is proud to be a part of this journey, and we hope that the new Modenas Karisma 125S will ease his journey, both on and off the road.” The automaker also extended its best wishes to him and encouraged everyone to continue cheering for Harimau Malaya in their upcoming endeavours.

Derrick expressed his gratitude for the unexpected gift by saying, "A big thank you to MODENAS for this incredible gesture, and I can't wait to continue supporting Harimau Malaya with my new Modenas Karisma 125S."

The Modenas Karisma 125S is a 124.6-cc scooter that features sporty and bold styling with striking graphics. It comes equipped with advanced features like LED lighting with daytime running lights, a digital instrument panel, and an anti-lock braking system. The scooter retails at RM 5,397.
