Mission: Impossible - Fallout movie features the BMW R nineT Scrambler

KUALA LUMPUR: The trailer of the latest Mission: Impossible movie recently dropped in showcasing a lot of running and chasing sequences, and looks like the long association of BMW with the Mission: Impossible series is going to continue with the sixth installment of the franchise. In the latest trailer, we can see actor Tom Cruise riding the R nineT Scrambler along with a host of other BMW models. Mission: Impossible- Fallout is slated to be released on July 27, 2018.

Be it the BMW i Vision Dynamics concept zooming across the streets of Mumbai, or the fantastic chase sequence in the fifth part with the BMW S1000RR, Paramount Pictures has never been shy of giving the German manufacturer some noticeable screen time.

Thanks to the product placement deal between BMW and the Mission Impossible franchise, we see actor Tom Cruise riding the BMW R nineT Scrambler in presumably a chase sequence. The bike has been left stock, aside from some bar-end mirrors and a fender eliminator. Sadly, in a quick cut, we see that a late-‘90s Peugeot pulls in front of Cruise, and he crashes into it.

Tom Cruise is also seen driving the dazzling E28 second-generation BMW 5 Series in the trailer. Another shot shows some R1200GS police motorcycles in that sequence. At one point, Tom Cruise runs down someone who was driving what looked like a BMW F800 GS, although it' a very brief shot.

While we imagine that the audience will generally be more interested in the action going on the screen, it's nice to see motorcycles making a comeback to the silver screen. Not just Mission: Impossible - Fallout, a lot of other upcoming movies will feature prominent bike models. The upcoming Marvel flick ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp', will feature the Triumph Thruxton R in one of its major chase sequences. Previously, we have seen Marvel featuring several Harley-Davidson motorcycles across the Avengers and Captain America movies.
