Malaysia gets the 2022 Honda BeAt in new colours

KUALA LUMPUR: The ever-popular Honda BeAt gets a new stylish and modern look in Malaysia all thanks to the latest colours and graphics. Based on the Stylish Sport and Modern elements, the new look caters to the needs of youth with a trendy lifestyle.

Boon Siew Honda offers the 2022 Honda BeAT in four shades - Clipper Yellow, Pearl Magellanic Black, Vivacity Red, and Pearl Nightfall Blue. This means Space Magenta Metallic and Force Silver Metallic have been dropped from the list.

At the core of this trendy scooter lies the same eSP (enhanced Smart Power) engine with a PGM-FI combustion system making it a reliable means of transport. The engine generates a maximum power of 8.67 hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 9.53 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The mill is Euro 4 compliant and meets all Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) standards. It is paired with a CVT transmission and belt drive. The fuel consumption is rated at 59.1 kmpl.

As for great riding comfort, the scooter continues to underpin the Smart Architecture Frame that is agile, and easy to control. It is kitted with LED headlights, a parking brake lock, a Side Stand Switch, 14-inch wheels, a large 4.2-litre fuel tank, and an 11.7-litre storage capacity under the seat. 

Coming to the suspension, the scooter comes with a telescopic fork at the front and a non-adjustable single shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by Combi Brake System (CBS) that combines the front and rear brakes and distributes pressure between them to achieve desired braking distance.

The new 2022 Honda BeAt is priced at RM 5,765 i.e. RM 210 dearer than the earlier model. Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km manufacturing warranty. It is now available at authorised Boon Siew Honda dealers nationwide.
