KTM 1290 Super Adventure R revised for 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a few days back that KTM revised the 1290 Super Adventure S for the model year 2023 and now it's the 1290 Super Adventure R model’s turn to benefit from a slight but worthy update.

The revisions for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R model mainly focus on refining the brand’s flagship adventure bike. Thus justifying its ‘R’ nomenclature that represents the most ‘off-road’ capable variant of the brand’s big-bore adventure motorcycle.

2023 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R - Key updates

• A new 6D Lean angle sensor from Bosch
• New WP XPLOR suspension with a split cartridge technology in the front fork
• Bridgestone AX41 tyres as standard
• A new ‘Turn-by-Turn’ navigation system
• A new colour scheme including a standout white paint job

Powering the 2023 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R is the same tried and tested LC8 V-Twin mill generating a maximum power of 160 hp along with a peak torque of 138 Nm.

The bike will continue to feature noteworthy inclusions from the previous-gen model like LED lights, 7-inch TFT display, customizable ABS setting, an adjustable windshield, and a ‘Race On’ remote key system.
