Honda will then replace the oil cooler pipe and install a heat guard between the exhaust pipe and the oil cooler pipe. All free of charge.
It is to be noted that Honda America has urged the affected owners to ride their bikes to the nearest showroom under 5,000 rpm in 1st gear.
Also beginning 2022, Honda will pre-install every CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP with a heat guard.
