Ducati Streetfighter V4, Scrambler 1100 PRO, and 1100 Sport PRO launched in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Ducati bikes in Malaysia, Next Bike Sdn Bhd, today unveiled the all-new Ducati Streetfighter V4 along with two versions of Scrambler 1100 - Pro and Sport Pro. The new models are now available for viewing and order at all authorized Ducati dealerships. Let's have a look at the details of these new hunks in town.
Starting with the Streetfighter V4, it is a modern and technologically advanced naked bike with an aggressive design. A Panigale V4 with stripped off fairings boasts a minimalist full-LED headlamp with the signature V-shaped daytime running lights, a tall, wide handlebar, an elegant front cover, and biplane wings developed by Ducati Corse for optimum stability without compromising the performance.
Powering the new Streetfighter V4 is a 1,100-cc Desmosedici Stradale four-pot mill that delivers 208 horsepower and 123 Nm of peak torque. The new electronic package is based on a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) that instantly detects the bike’s roll, yaw, and pitch angles.
It oversees every part of the ride - some controls handle start, acceleration, and braking, while others manage traction, and stretches of corner and out-of-corner.
Besides the Streetfighter V4, Ducati also launched the Streetfighter V4 S variant that features a higher level of performance. It gets Marchesini forged wheels and Öhlins electrically controlled suspension and steering damper. In addition to 6D IMU, it also comes with the second-generation Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 system providing a more rider-friendly interface.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 price starts at RM 115,900 while the customers can grab the Streetfighter V4 S at RM 145,900.
Next on the list are Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO & 1100 Sport PRO, the pro models of the standard Scrambler 1100 are based on the steel Trellis frame and an aluminium subframe chassis, and incorporate a 1,079-cc L-twin engine at the core, which churns out 86 hp and 88 Nm of torque.
Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO features updated graphics, new double-side exhaust, new comfort seat trim, and compact rear fender. Another hallmark is the framed headlight that houses a black metal “X” inside it.
The beefier Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro comes with Öhlins suspension, low-slung handlebars, and cafe racer rear-view mirrors. It can be further distinguished by the matte black colour scheme complemented by side panels featuring a painted 1100 logo.
Both variants are equipped with Ducati Traction Control (DTC), ABS Cornering, three standard riding modes - Active, Journey, and City.
The price of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO starts at RM 75,900 and the Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO retails for RM 80,900.
During the launch event, Dato’ Nik Hamdam Nik Hassan, Group Chief Executive Officer, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings said, “It’s a fact that Malaysia and the rest of the world are facing unprecedented challenges together, but it is also encouraging to see how individual brands across different industries and their customers have continued to maintain positive momentum and energy throughout. It brings us great joy to be able to bring more excitement to the Malaysian motorcycle and automotive scene with the launch of these amazing new Ducati and Scrambler models.
