Ducati Panigale V4 25th Anniversary 916 arrives Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Ducati celebrates the 25th anniversary of the 916’s launch with a limited edition model called the Ducati Panigale V4 25th Anniversary 916, which is based on the Panigale V4 S with subtle front changes and some cues from the Panigale V4 R. The Ducati 916 was first launched in 1994. The bike went on to win a total of 120 races, 4 riders’ titles and 8 constructors’ titles.

Ducati has manufactured just 500 units of the limited edition model for markets worldwide. The sole unit for the Malaysian market is on display at the Ducati’s showroom in Petaling Jaya. The bike is priced at RM 360,000 as reported by Paultan.

Some components that have specially made way to the 25th Anniversary model are a distinctive seat, new and taller racing windscreen, Akrapovic titanium exhaust silencers, carbon-fibre mudguards, carbon-fibre heel guards, racing grips, adjustable footpegs, swingarm cover, new levers, and machine-engraved edition number. Additionally, there is a number ‘1’ and ‘Foggy’ graphics as bodywork, inspired by Fogarty’s 1999 race bike.

Other notable parts include Ducati Data Analyser+ with GPS, dry slipper clutch, Marchesini Racing forged magnesium wheels and electronics like Ducati power Launch, Engine Brake Control EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Quick Shift, Ducati Traction Control, and Ducati Slide Control.

Powering the limited-edition Panigale V4 916 is the same 1,103 cc unit that produces a max power of 217 PS and a peak torque of 124 Nm. The suspension duties are handled by 43 mm Ohlins front fork and Ohlins rear shock absorbers. For braking, there are 330 mm Brembo discs at the front with Cornering ABS EVO.
