Ducati Malaysia launches new Scrambler range

KUALA LUMPUR: As promised, the motorcycle manufacturer at the 2022 Ducati Malaysia Premiere had a lot in stock for the buyers. One of the major attractions is the launch of new motorcycles, including the 2022 Streetfighter V4 SP and two new Scrambler models.

Here we’ll be discussing the latest additions to the Ducati Malaysia family, the Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO, and the Scrambler Urban Motard.

While making the new Scrambler models, Ducati has used two different approaches. While the Tribute PRO commemorates the brand’s first twin-cylinder engine, the Urban Motard is an expression of the young urban.

Let’s now discuss the two new Scrambler models in detail -

Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro: Sprayed in a unique ‘Giallo Ocra’ yellow tone, this particular Scrambler takes us back to 1971 when the first twin-cylinder Ducati went on sale.
Further elevating the brand’s yesteryear charm is the Giugiaro-penned Ducati logo.

On the mechanical side, powering the Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro is a 1,078cc L-Twin with Desmodromic Distribution, an air-cooled powertrain generating a maximum power output of 86 hp at 7,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 88 Nm at 4,750 rpm.

To enhance the driving experience, Ducati has tuned it with the Ducati Traction Control and PRO riding modes.

Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard: As mentioned above, this one is the more youth-oriented Ducati on offer, packed with refreshing and rebellious features. It also comes dressed in striking red and white livery that appeals to its target audience.

Like the Desert Sled and Nightshift models, it comes with a front brake, a side-mounted number plate, and a flat seat. Other features include - an LCD, spoke aluminium wheels, BOSH cornering ABS, and a tubular steel trellis frame.

Powering the Urban Motard is an 803 cc L-Twin engine making a maximum power of 73 hp at 8,250 rpm and a peak torque of 66.2 Nm at 5,750 rpm.

Taking care of the braking and handling is a 330 mm front disc with radial 4-piston callipers and a 245 mm rear disc with 1-piston callipers. The suspension duty is taken up by a 41 mm Kayaba USD fork and Kayaba preload adjustable rear shock.
