Variants: The motorcycle is offered in four variants namely, Basic, Triple Black, GS Trophy, and Option 719 Karakorum.
Built: The 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure frame is made of sheet metal steel which is stiffer than before. Its rear subframe, on the other hand, is made of an aluminum lattice tube with forged parts.
Powertrain Configuration: Powering the bike is a new 1300 cc boxer-twin engine churning out a maximum power of 145 hp along with a peak torque of 149 Nm. The new 6-speed gearbox with Automated Shift Assistant (cost extra) is located under the mill and a new can drive arrangement.
Functional & Design Components: In the true GSA fashion, the motorcycle gets a 30-litre fuel tank which also acts as a luggage carrier with three mounting points for the 12-litre tank bag and a smartphone charging compartment. The new BMW motorcycle also offers better weather protection with elements like a large windshield, two large transparent wind detectors, and hand guards that double as mounting points for front turn indicators. Other features include -
- Full LED lighting
- New design matrix headlights
- Front & rear turn indicators (while the former is incorporated into the hand guard, the latter is integrated into the tail light)
- Two extra-flat auxiliary LED set lights
- Optional, Headlight Pro with adaptive headlight (cornering lights)
- 19-inch front wheels with 120/70 tyre and 17-inch rear wheels with 170/60 rubber tyre
- Integrated USB socket and 12 V on-board power socket
- Keyless ride and heated grip
- Heated seats (optional)
Aerodynamics: The 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is aerodynamically shaped, thus ensuring a quiet and comfortable ride.
Riding modes: As expected, the new BMW motorcycle comes standard with a full suite of electronic riding aids including four riding modes (mentioned below), Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) with braking function, and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC).
Enduro for off-road riding |
Rain for slippery roads due to water |
Eco for maximum rage from the fuel tank |
Road for normal day-to-day riding |
Optional riding aids: The brand is also offering the unit with Driving Modes Pro which packs additional riding modes along with Hill Start Control (HSC), Engine drag torque control (MSR), and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC). Also, part of the optional kit are the following -
- Active Cruise Control (ACC)
- Front Collision Warning (FCW)
- Lane Change Warning
- Adaptive vehicle height control
- Rear End Collision Warning (RECW)
Note: While the Adaptive vehicle height control offers automatic adjustment to the bike’s height depending on the riding condition and lowers it by 30 mm (when stationary and at low speed). The adaptive vehicle height control comfort makes the bike suitable for smaller riders (lowers the unit by a further 20 mm)
The RECW system is a new addition by BMW. It signals a possible rear-end collision to following traffic by flashing the hazard warning lights at a higher frequency.
Suspension: Users will find a level of electronic sophistication when it comes to the motorcycle’s suspension. Dubbed the Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (optional), it offers automatic adjustment of spring rate, load compensation, and damping.
Amazing, right? It is surely a step ahead of the All-new R 1300 GS with its beefier suspension and robust electronics.
