All-new 2022 Honda Rebel 500 launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Boon Siew Honda, the official distributor of Honda motorcycles in Malaysia today launched the all-new 2022 Honda Rebel 500. Priced at RM 32,899 (excluding road tax, registration, and insurance) Honda’s new offering is available in three colour tones - new Pearl Organic, Matte Jeans Blue Metallic, and Graphite Black.

What powers the new Rebel 500?

The all-new 2022 Rebel 500 is powered by a 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine fed by PGM-Fi mated mill that pumps out a maximum power of 45.59 hp at 8,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 43.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. Also, the mill is turned for more torque lower down the rpm range.

When on the Rebel 500, Honda ensures maximum ride comfort via the telescopic front forks and a pair of Showa shock absorbers with nitrogen reservoirs. Helping the bike stop is a single hydraulic disc at both the wheels.

Furthermore making the Rebel 500 more apt to today’s day and age, Honda has equipped it with LED lighting all over, and LCD instrument gauge with white background (100 mm diameter) that displays gear selection and fuel consumption.
