KUALA LUMPUR: Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. has launched the all-new NSS250 scooter in Malaysia. For the 2025 model year, the maxi-scooter gets new colour options and some practical upgrades, while retaining the same core specifications.

    The 2025 Honda NSS250 is priced at RM 25,888 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration), which is the same as the outgoing version. Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

    The upgraded colour palette of the Honda NSS250 includes five (new and existing) striking colour options -

    • Pearl Shining Black (New)
    • Pearl Smoky Gray
    • Matte Gun Powder Black Metallic

    Design

    The Honda NSS250 boasts a premium design with a layered upper fairing, aerodynamic lines, and a sculpted front end. It comes equipped with an electric windscreen for seamless wind protection and noise reduction. There is also a front air duct which minimizes wind resistance and ensures a smoother, more comfortable ride.

    Based on a robust tubular steel frame, the bike rides on a 15/14-inch front/rear wheel combination, which promises enhanced agility, especially in urban traffic.

    Features 

    In terms of features, the Honda NSS250 benefits from a new 5-inch TFT instrument panel seamlessly integrating an analogue speedometer and rev counter. 

    This modern and intuitive system also supports Honda RoadSync connectivity, which allows Bluetooth integration for navigation, calls, and music via a helmet headset. This ensures seamless connectivity and enhanced convenience on every journey.

    • LED lighting system offering enhanced visibility and road presence in various conditions.
    • Smart Key System for keyless ignition and under-seat storage access.
    • Anti-theft mechanism, which prevents unauthorised use.
    • Answer-Back Switch that can activate turn signals to find the scooter parked in crowded areas.
    • Honda Selectable Torque Control (switchable via the handlebar) can adjust torque for optimal traction.
    • Emergency Stop Signal that is quite helpful during sudden braking for added safety.
    • 48-litre under-seat storage compartment, partitionable for helmets and other essentials such as rain gear, or A4-sized bags

    Engine 

    Just like the outgoing model, the 2025 Honda NSS250 is powered by a 249.5-cc eSP+ engine delivering 22.79 hp of maximum power at 7,750 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox and belt drive.

    Suspension and braking 

    The suspension is managed by non-adjustable telescopic forks at the front and twin preload-adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. Helping the bike stop are hydraulic discs front and rear, complemented by a two-channel ABS.
