2023 Yamaha XMax 250 launched in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has launched the all-new XMAX 250 in Malaysia. The upgraded scooter features a new look, enhanced MAX DNA, and advanced connectivity features.

Unlocking the X-factor, the new Yamaha XMax 250 gets a distinctive X-shaped LED headlight and redesigned LED tail light that forms an X when brake lights are lit. The scooter is also kitted with high-mount LED front flashers, ensuring excellent visibility to other road users while adding a stylish touch. Offering an even more enjoyable ride is a newly designed slimmer seat.
Also part of the upgrade is a new 4.2-inch TFT-LCD screen incorporating stylish new panels that display vehicle-related information in a clear and easy to understand way. The riders can connect the instrument cluster with Yamaha Y-Connect and Garmin StreetCross Connectivity via their smartphone and enjoy riding navigation with just a touch of the finger.

Powering the upgraded XMax 250 scooter is the same 249.8-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that kicks out a maximum power of 22.8 PS at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 24.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The power is sent to the ground via a V-Belt automatic gearbox.
The suspension duties are taken care of by non-adjustable telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. As for braking, it gets single hydraulic discs on both ends paired with two-channel ABS as standard.

The 2023 Yamaha XMax 250 is priced at RM 23,998 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration). Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.
