2023 Yamaha NMax gets new colour options, price increases

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha’s popular scooter, the NMax, has received a new colour scheme for 2023 in Malaysia. It now comes in two new exciting hues, including Red and Blue. These new shades add to the scooter's aesthetic, making it even more eye-catching.

Alongside updating the colour palette, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM), has also increased the NMax pricing in the local market. The latest version of the scooter retails at RM 9,798 (excluding registration fees and insurance), which is approx RM 300 dearer than the 2022 model year.

The scooter continues to come equipped with a 155-cc Blue Core liquid-cooled, 4-stroke SOHC single cylinder, 4-valve fuel-injected engine, which churns out a maximum power of 14.9 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm. 

The power is sent to the rear wheel through a CVT gearbox coupled with the Starter Generator Control. The latter offers integrated control of the Smart Motor Generator System for quiet engine starts.

Just like the mechanicals, the 2023 Yamaha NMax equipment kit also remains the same with an LED tail light, a full LCD metre panel with a lever switch on the left handlebar, a 12V socket, Stop & Start System, and 13-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 110/70-13 and 130/70-13 front and rear tyres.

Among the other key highlights are -

• 7.1-litre fuel tank
• 23.3-litre under seat storage
• 765 mm seat height
• Telescopic fork suspension at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, which are adjustable for preload
• Single 230 mm hydraulic disc brakes with single-piston callipers on each wheel
• A complimentary Yamaha safety disc lock worth RM 100 is also offered with every purchase

The 2023 Yamaha NMax is now available at all Yamaha authorised dealerships across the country.
