2022 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Didi Group handles the distribution of several prominent motorcycle brands in Malaysia, out of which Moto Guzzi is one. The brand celebrated its centenary year in 2021 with the launch of different special edition models. And, now for 2022, it has come up with the updated version of the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone equipped with new styling and mechanical features.

    The all-new Moto Guzzi V7 Stone is now on sale in Malaysia at a price starting from RM 62,900 (on-the-road, without insurance).

    The prominent symbol of Italian motorbikes worldwide, the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone is powered by a new 850-cc engine that delivers a maximum power output of 65 hp at 6800 rpm and a peak torque of 73 Nm at 5000 rpm. Compared to the predecessor, the power and torque numbers have increased by 13 hp and 13 Nm, respectively.

    Making its debut with the new V7 stone, this high-performance engine is a close derivative of the unit that powers the V85 TT. It is the latest drivetrain built in Mandello, which promises better performance and greater efficiency leading to maximum riding pleasure, fun and reliability, claims Moto Guzzi.

    The new V7 Stone boasts a strong and minimalistic style with an involved frame, which now features steel elements in the headstock area, a new two-tier saddle and a brand new rider footpeg support for greater comfort. Upfront, we can see a new, full LED light system with a DRL in the shape of the Moto Guzzi Eagle. The instrument cluster also gets an update; it is now entirely digital with a single, circular dial. 

    The new side panels, a shorter rear mudguard, new aluminium wheel rims, and a new exhaust system add to the bike’s revamped and more seductive look.

    The latest model is more stable and comfortable thanks to much new equipment introduced by the automaker. These comprise a larger cardan final drive, a wider rear wheel, and a more robust pair of Kayaba shock absorbers. The rear rim is now shod with a wider 150/70 tyre.

    While launching the new V7 stone at Konsert Dato M. Nasir, Satu Hari Di Hari Raya di Dewan Merdeka WTCKL, Mr Goh Kian Sin, Managing Director of DIDI Group, said, “ICONS meet together tonight, as both Moto Guzzi and Dato M.Nasir are true icons that are loved by many and DIDI is proud to play our role in supporting the development of the local artist industry through a donation during this concert,”
